Highclere Castle is the largest mansion in the Hampshire. It is considred to be the finest Victorian country house still in existense. It was built by Sir Charles Barry in the same style as the Houses of Parliament in London in the “High Elizabethan” style. A much loved and privately owned home by the Carnarvaron family that is rich in history and with treasures dating back since the seventeenth century. The park was designed by Capability Brown and every part of the castle - both inside and out were built to very high standards which makes it a perfect venue for your grand and luxurious wedding.

The Saloon

The Castle is licensed for Civil Ceremonies which usually takes place in the Saloon at the heart of the Castle. It can accomodate up to 100 guests seated and 80 standing. The Drawing room and Smoking room are available for drinks reception and wedding photographs. The magnificent Library is able to accomodate 140 guests for wedding breakfast and with the Music room a further 40 guests. All the rooms in the castle are very opulent and can provide amazing backdrop for your wedding. The beautiful grounds can also be used to take your outdoor wedding photographs. If your guests number exceeds 140, then Highclere Castle can offer their grounds for a marquee to be set-up.

Grand Staircase

You can hire this as a wedding venue based on Exclusive Use at £12,000 + vat with food and beverages in addition on a consumption basis. The use of the grounds for a marquee will be quoted seperately and it all depends on how big your party will be. They have reasonable packages to choose from and they can also cater for any personal needs.

There is no accomodation in the castle but they can provide you a room where you can get ready on the day of your wedding. There are plenty of accomodation around the area that are within 10 minutes drive to the castle and London only one hour away which makes it even perfect and convenient.
