Berkeley Castle is the oldest castle in England and has welcomed all the royalties including King Henry VIII in the numerous special events of the past centuries. It is an intact medieval fortress that has been home to the same family, the Berkeley’s, for many centuries. You two can celebrate like a queen and king in this castle when you host the most special day of your life. This castle will come as a revelation and every room will offer you different history and story to tell. On arrival, drinks will be served at the Gun Terrace or in the Long Drawing Room, depending on the weather and time of the year. Wedding breakfast will be held at the Great Hall, which can seat up to 128 guests. The Great Hall has 550 years of rich history to share and will surely provide romantic feeling to your wedding. Fires can be lit in both rooms to give that extra feeling of warmth to the very happy occassion.
The cost of hiring Berkeley Castle for a wedding reception is £4,000 + vat. This does not include catering and drinks. The castle is not licensed for Civil Ceremony but there are plenty of churches and licensed venues that can accomodate you for that. Berkeley Castle will be there for help you celebrate after you have tied-the-knot and enjoy the happiest day of you lives together as Mr & Mrs.

The castle has three appointed caterers that you can get in touch with. All of which have been highly recommended for the services they provide and the good food they can serve you and your guests. The earlies time you can host an event at the Castle will be at 4pm on winter months and 5pm in summer when it is open to public.
