Caroline Castigliano Launches New Website

Girls, have you seen the new Caroline Castigliano website yet? If not, check it out and be inspired by the Caroline Castigliano bridal 2010 and 2011 collection. The new site has a lot of fresh ideas for you all to enjoy…

Fun and interactive seems to be one of the core idea behind the new website. Looks like Caroline and her team understand well, how choosing the perfect wedding dress should be fun from start to finish! Apart from including live footages of catwalks, photo shoots, interviews and photographs from bridal events, they have also thoughtfully included a ‘wish list’ area where brides-to-be can share with friends and family via social network like Facebook and Twitter some of their absolute favs. A lot of brides-to-be will surely love this and on top of all that, Caroline Castigliano is holding a competition in which one lucky visitor will win a bespoke wedding dress valued at up to GBP 5,000.

A celebrated British designer who’s been successful in every retail field he’s entered, and the wedding industry is no exception. A trip to his luxurious and beautiful bridal shop in Sackville Street will surely be an experience to remember. They have bespoke menswear for your husband-to-be, a wedding gift registry, wedding accessories and, of course, some stunningly beautiful wedding dresses. Jasper Conran’s good taste can be seen and felt not only in his bridal gowns but also in his wedding shop. It is a really nice place to escape and be spoilt. You will be amazed at the complete experience there and you can literally find everything you need for your wedding at his lovely boutique. Plus his most trusted bridal staff are also very knowledgeable and helpful so the overall experience is just fantastic.

Jasper Conran has a fantastic wedding dress collection to suit any type of bride. But if I am to pick my absolute favourite, I’d go for Angelica. I love the corded French lace used. The style and silhouette is very simple but the overall effect is so elegant and feminine and absolutely breathtaking!

I am really enjoying this part of the job where I get to admire beautiful wedding dresses made by talented bridal designers. This week at Dolce Sposa, we endeavour to feature local British bridal designers that we love and those that passes our criteria for creating some of the most beautiful bridal gowns that uses only the most exquisite materials and superb workmanship.

Today, it is Suzanne Neville we want to share with you. She is an award winning British designer who is known for making some of the most exquisite couture wedding dresses in the country and her expertise in creating perfectly structured bodices that is so flattering has been unparalleled. If you are an eco-bride, you will also be happy to know that she is one of those British bridal designers who pride herself in being wholly British – all the production is made in the UK and not sourced in the Far East.

Here are some of our favourites:

Suzanne Neville’s made-to-measure wedding dresses start at about £2,500 to £3,500. This price will include all the fittings and alterations. Production time is about six months but they can also do this quicker for an express service cost.

Phillipa Lepley Wedding Dresses

Phillipa Lepley is another British designer who is loved by many in the wedding industry. She’s got a real talent in what she does and she produces some of the most exquisite wedding dresses in the industry. If you look at the bridal collection below, you will see that her designs are very simple yet the beauty, elegance of each piece is very striking and powerful. I completely adore the ethereal feel of each wedding dresses, they are very feminine and romantic.

I also like the matching wedding dress and flower girl dresses here.

Phillipa Lepley’s couture wedding dresses starts at £5,000 and this includes all the fitting costs. But if you visit her shop in Chelsea, you will see other sample wedding dresses there that start at £2,000 (£1,000 for the dress and £1,000 for fittings and alterations). You will also see evening dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses and accessories in her wedding shop. Visiting her luxurious and blissful wedding shop is a definite must when you are in search of your dream wedding dress. Don’t forget to make an appointment.

DS is absolutely enamoured by the elegance and sophistication in all his wedding dresses. I’d say that his dresses are beautiful, romantic, classically chic and some pieces are nicely infused with a touch of modernity. There will definitely be something beautiful for every bride no matter what wedding style and silhouette they have in mind. I personally love how he uses patterns of horizontal and vertical lines in some of his wedding dresses!

The very talented bridal designer Caroline Castigliano and Jimmy Choo Couture recently teamed up to showcase their beautiful bridal collection in Dubai and Muscat. VIP guests were treated to an evening of glamour and inspiration as the duo unveiled their winter 2010 and spring 2011 wedding dresses and bridal couture shoes.

Bridal gowns exuding ‘relaxed feminine glamour’ is how Caroline described her collection this year. I personally love the soft tulle, lace gowns and organza combination, which when paired with Jimmy Choo bridal shoes will turn our blushing bride into a true princess for her wedding day!

The W2010/S2011 collection is available exclusively at Caroline Castigliano boutiques.

The wait is finally over for our lovely brides-to-be who weren’t able to make it to the Caroline Castigliano bridal 2010 launch at the Mandarin Oriental last month. Here are some photographs of the much awaited bridal collection designed by one of the country’s favourite bridal designers.

On the runway you usually see the talented designer last, but in this post I’d like to do it the other way around. We’ve all heard about her and seen her wedding dresses, but not all are familiar with the beautiful and charming face behind all the fabulous bridal dresses. Plus, I also LOVE what she is wearing, simple yet feminine, sophisticated and classically chic. I think that is how every bridal gown should be like.

Lanvin Trunk Show at Browns Bride

We are two and a half weeks away from seeing the exclusive trunk show of Lanvin Blanche here in London. We are so looking forward to this exclusive event hosted by Brown’s Bride as they share with us the Lanvin Bridal Collection 2010. Lanvin, one of the most well known and oldest couture houses in France will showcase their Lanvin Blanche wedding dresses in London for the very first time so this is an event not to to be missed! Expect really sophisticated, feminine and chic bridal gowns designed by the very talented Alber Elbaz.

The event will take place over three days from the 18th to 20th February 2010 so pencil the date in your diary and book your tickets quick to avoid disappointment.
