I definitely cannot afford a Clive Christian No.1 perfume but I find the price absolutely interesting (and crazy) so I thought of writing down a few facts about the perfume hoping to decipher the reasons why it is so special (at least, for some). I love my perfumes but I can never justify it. Perhaps, a real perfume aficionado and real time big spender would!
Clive Christian No1:
- £115,000 a bottle
- created to be the most expensive perfume in the world
- it comes in a Baccarat handmade crystal bottle adorned with a sparking five carat brilliant-cut diamond on the collar
- there is a six months production time because they have to wait for the fragrance to crystallize until it creats the desired and delicate scent that it is known for
- limited availability throughout the year due to the rarity of its ingredients, time to perfection and the very high demand
- awarded by Queen Victoria for its excellence and quality in perfumery
- worn and a favourite by the royalties and celebrities alike
- Katie Holmes wore this perfume on her wedding day
Floral notes: Flora oriented scent with top notes of plum, pineapple, mirabelle, lemon, bergamot and cardamon; heart notes of jasmine, ylang ylang, orris, rose and orchids and a base notes of vanilla, tonka seeds, cedarwood, sandalwood and musk amber comes.
