Crocket and Jones is another English shoe maker that my husband and I love. This is where he bought his pair of shoes for our wedding day and it matched his bespoke Gieves and Hawkes morning suit perfectly well. Since he is wearing a traditional and classic English morning suit, he decided that he would also wear a pair of English shoes for our big day. We looked around different shops until we felt comfortable and happy with the products, prices and services offered by Crocket and Jones in Burlington Arcade.

They make really elegant, stylish and classic shoes using only the best materials and the craftsmanship is beyond compare. We also really like the people working in the shop, they are all very warm, helpful, customer service impeccable and they are so knowledgeable at what they do. Overall, it is a great shop and we’d highly recommend them to you. My husband picked Aintree (1^st shoe in the photo) and he is very happy with the quality, the style and most importantly he said the shoes are really comfy.

I thought I’d write something for the groom today about his wedding tuxedo. I personally prefer tuxedo or a morning suit for weddings because it looks more special compared to a wedding suit. But that said, I think it really depends where you are getting married and the style of your wedding. Tuxedo is good for a formal affair and a morning suit is perfect for a formal English wedding. Both are gorgeous and there are plenty of shops in the country where he get can purchase his wedding outfit.

Turnbull and Asser is one English company I can recommend in London. They are known the world over for their distinctive and classical English clothing with outstanding services and quality of products that has served successive Princes of Wales, Sir Winston Churchill, world leaders, celebrities to non-fictional characters like James Bond. I really think that the groom should look the part and also make the extra effort to find the perfect wedding outfit for himself for the most romantic day of his life. So encourage him to look around and see what is available out there.

I LOVE shoes and I used to be a shoeaholic. Oh my, I feel like I am saying my confessions here at DS. Seriously speaking, I used to be a crazy shoe shopper and there was a time when I’d go shop for 20 pairs of shoes in one store and all in one day. Yes, those were the crazy days when I was younger and so carefree with my spending. I don’t do that anymore but I still enjoy looking and appreciating beautifully crafted and sexy shoes for women and also for men! I personally think that buying men’s shoes are just as fun but sometimes a little bit more difficult as it requires thorough investigation on the leather and craftsmanship. When I go to some of the really good English shops in London, I feel like I am getting free lessons on men’s shoes and I love it. I enjoy listening to the passionate sales assistant as he or she explains the type of leather, stitching, shapes, soles, finishing and the like. They surely know what they are talking about and they are very good at when they do.

John Lobb is one of the shoe shop I would recommend. It is England’s oldest makers of bench-made shoes, the most popular, most reputable and they have a strong lineage of clienteles like King Edward VII, Frank Sinatra, Aristotle Onassis, Roald Dahl, Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig to name a few. So if your husband-to-be is looking for a really special pair of wedding shoes to match his tuxedo or morning suit, then this is one company I would suggest him to check out. Their shoes look really classy and sophisticated. And I’ve heard they are really comfortable too so it is worth checking out especially if he is willing to splash out on a pair for your wedding.
